Legal Recruitment Market Holds Steady in January

For two years now, Langdale Search & Selection has monitored the level of vacancies across Private Practices in the North and Midlands by monitoring vacancies on certain job boards.
January saw an average of 1059 vacancies per week. Whilst this figure was down 1% on the previous month's average, it was 6% up on the corresponding average for January 2009.
Director Rob Barklamb commented "The market is slowly picking up and confidence is gradually returning. Replacing leavers is now being contemplated, whereas this was seldom the case last year. And there are leavers - some "churn" is returning to the market."
