About This Event

Jonathan Sands was appointed CEO of Elmwood at the age
of 26 and ran a management buyout of the company in 1988.
Elmwood was the lead consultant behind the FA 2006 World
Cup bid and played a fundamental role in the turnaround of
ASDA in the early 1990s. He became Chairman of Elmwood
in January 2000.
Jonathan also co-founded Design Yorkshire and raised
around £200,000 to stimulate the use of better design
throughout the region. He was appointed a member of the
Design Council in 2000.
Creative accounting causes situations like Enron. However,
Accountants need to understand creative thinking for their
businesses to survive and thrive in the current economic
climate. Using his experience in advising clients worldwide,
Jonathan Sands will discuss how to:
• cultivate an innovative culture in your business.
• make business decisions based on human insights
rather than product capabilities.
• learn from the early days of advertising where
measurability was key.
This event is part of an ongoing series of South Yorkshire FD
Forum events organised by Pro-Sheffield in association with
Business Link. Please note attendance is limited to Finance
Directors of established or high growth companies within the
region. The forum was established as a peer networking and
support group and invites key speakers to discuss key issues
facing Finance Directors in the current economic climate.
The seminar will be followed by a 3 course meal where
delegates will be able to discuss the topics discussed with
other Finance Directors. If you are a Finance Director who
would like more information about the FD Forum or to apply
for a place, please email bens@pro-sheffield.co.ukor use the booking form below.
