About Pro Sheffield
Pro Sheffield is a membership organisation working exclusively with Sheffield City Region based companies in the Financial & Professional (F&P) Services sector.
The Financial & Professional Services Sector in Sheffield City Region numbers some 1600 companies and employs in the region of 30,000 people. The sector is recognised as being a major contributor to the region's economic growth and the area has a diverse business community offering a wide range of expertise from traditional, long established forms of legal, financial and property professionals through to newer support services involved in e-commerce, customer-contact and service centres.
Our Focus
- To raise the profile of the F&P Services Sector by undertaking events and networking.
- To act as the voice for the sector in the local economic regeneration.
- To assist in the professional development of sector skills.
Our Aim
To promote the wealth of services available within the sector and in doing so raise the profile of South Yorkshire businesses and increase the amount of business done locally.
Our Vision
Short Term - to be the organisation representing the F&P Services sector in the Sheffield City Region, promoting the organisation regionally and nationally through having a membership representative of the sector and delivering business opportunities for its members.
Long Term - to be the organisation to promote the Financial & Professional Services sector as part of the Sheffield City Region, regionally, nationally and internationally in order to generate additional business opportunities for the sector in the region.
Pro Sheffield is managed by a Board of Directors drawn from the professional firms in the Sheffield City Region who are all actively involved with the development of Pro Sheffield. They all hold senior positions within their firms and are both well known and respected members of the F&P Services Sector.
Pro Sheffield employees two part-time staff members who ensure the smooth running of all aspects of Pro Sheffield.
Pro Sheffield draws together members and collectively provides a strong, high profile and influential representation for the sector locally. Membership is open to all professional sector businesses located in the Sheffield City Region area. Through its member firms, Pro Sheffield currently represents over 10,000 F&P Sector employees. Pro Sheffield works in collaboration with other business advice and support agencies and with the Local Authorities in the Sheffield City Region to ensure our members are kept fully up to date of all developments affecting the South Yorkshire area.
